Our legendary, hand-piped Fondant Fancies are quintessentially Bettys. Made from dainty Genoese sponge cake, sandwiched with buttercream and raspberry preserve and then covered with a layer of soft marzipan.

We don’t cut corners with any of our ingredients. We use real butter because the flavour can’t be beaten, the raspberry jam we’ve selected is good enough for spreading on a scone with afternoon tea, and the colouring we use for the fondant and the iced decorations is all completely natural.

Nearly a century after they were first made by our Swiss founder Frederick Belmont, Fondant Fancies are still one of our most popular treats. We make them using the finest Genoese sponge cake, sandwiched with raspberry preserve and vanilla buttercream, plus a thin layer of white chocolate across the base to keep the sponge perfectly moist. Finally we add marzipan and a flawless coating of the smoothest fondant icing, before our confectioners individually pipe a seasonal decoration on top. This hand finished touch ensures that though they’re all perfect, each and every one is unique.
