Very little in life can beat a loaf of excellent bread – perhaps toasted, maybe sandwiched, always generously buttered, of course. And so here are three of our bakers’ best, perfect for slicing and freezing, for enjoyment over a couple of weeks.
Founded by the son of a miller, exceptional quality flour is the lifeblood of Bettys Craft Bakery, and breadmaking is at its heart. Whether it is to be toasted, sandwiched or dunked, Bettys bread is always free from artificial preservatives, instead made to traditional recipes which combine natural ingredients with artisan techniques and over 100-years of breadmaking know how.

Meet the breads
Yorkshire Millers Loaf
A soft, malty loaf made with Yorkshire-milled flour, baked in our wood-fired oven for unbeatable flavour and a proper crust. Perfect for toasties – our favourite is ham and Gruyère.
Fruit Loaf
A rich, subtly sweet bread made Yorkshire Tea-soaked vine fruits and a sprinkling of citrus peels. A tea-time classic to enjoy thickly sliced, generously buttered and with a cup of your favourite Bettys or Yorkshire tea.
Yorkshire Cobble Bread
A close-textured wheat and rye loaf enriched with extra virgin olive oil, perfect for toasting or dunking into hot soup – and delicious with Wendsleydale cheese. Our bakers deftly cut into the dough before baking to create a pattern just like the cobbles of Yorkshire streets.
