2.3 If you enter this competition, even if you do not win, you agree that we may contact you to ask you to engage in publicity activities.
2.4 If you are the winner of the competition, we may, at our absolute discretion, wish to film you for publicity purposes (as provided for in condition 9.2 of these terms). However we are under no obligation to do so.

3.1 The competition will run from 11am on Tuesday 26 April (the "Opening Date") to 9pm on Sunday 15 May (the "Closing Date") inclusive.
3.2 All competition entries must be received by the Promoter as a comment on the Bettys Facebook page by no later than 9pm on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.3 To enter the competition, share your story on our Facebook page as a comment under our post dated Tuesday 26 April. The story must be shared by the Closing Date.
3.4 No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.

3.6 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
3.7 The competition entries will be judged by a panel of three judges, who will be observed by a person who is independent of the Promoter and the entrants. The decision of the panel of judges will be final.
3.8 The Promoter will send the full names of the judges to anyone who writes within one month after the Closing Date of the competition requesting details of the judges and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in condition 1.

4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
4.3 There is a limit of one entry to the competition per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
4.4 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

5.2 Date of redemption of the prize is subject to availability of sittings on selected dates. There is no cash alternative for the prize.
5.3 The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control make it necessary to do so.
5.4 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

6.1 The winner of the competition will be announced on Bettys' Facebook page on Thursday 19 May (“Announcement Date”).
6.2 The decision of the judges nominated by the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
6.3 The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry.
6.4 The Promoter will send the name and county of the winner to anyone who writes within one month after the Closing Date of the competition requesting details of the winner and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in condition 1.

7.1 In order to claim the prize, the winner must notify us by email, within 21 days of the Announcement Date, of the date they wish to take Lady Betty Afternoon Tea. Guidance on how to correspond with us will be shared with the winner via private message.
7.2 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 21 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to another eligible entrant selected from the entries that were received before the Closing Date.
7.3 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

9.1 If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
9.2 You further agree: (a) to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter, including having your story, and your visit to Bettys for Lady Betty Afternoon Tea, filmed; and (b) to use your best endeavours to procure that the persons you bring with you for Lady Betty Afternoon Tea shall do likewise and shall, if we consider it reasonably necessary, sign any such reasonable consents to any such filming and assign any rights that they may have in or to the product(s) of such filming to the Promoter absolutely.
