Important information about Easter deliveries
This year, online delivery will be closed during the week before Easter. However, we will be delivering up to and including Monday 3rd April. Many seasonal treats such as Easter eggs, Simnel cakes and chocolates will still be perfectly in date and just as delicious at Easter even if delivered a week early. Many other items – such as hot cross buns, Fat Rascals, Bury Simnels and selected cakes – can be frozen. Simply look for the snowflake symbol. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this causes you. We’re making some much needed changes at our Craft Bakery which will help us continue to serve you in the years to come.
Delivery FAQs
Can I track my order?
Can I track my order? For your convenience, all of our delivery services are tracked.
When your parcel leaves our Craft Bakery you will be sent an email confirming the despatch (if you have provided an email address when placing your order). This email will contain a link to track your order.
Why is Monday delivery arriving early?
Our couriers work with pace to make sure all of our orders reach their destination by your chosen date, and since we send Monday orders on a Friday, some deliveries arrive early on the Saturday.
Please rest assured, the shelf life of the products will be unaffected.
You will receive tracking details from our carrier when your parcel leaves us. If you’re given an earlier date and this is not convenient, simply use the tracking code to reschedule your delivery or to arrange for it to be left in a safe place or with a neighbour.
Will my products be in date for Easter?
Many seasonal treats such as Easter eggs, Simnel cakes and chocolates will still be perfectly fresh at Easter even if delivered a week early. Many other items – such as hot cross buns, Fat Rascals, Bury Simnels and fresh cakes – can be frozen. Simply look for the snowflake symbol. Please see individual product pages for information on delivery for Easter, and best before information on cakes.
Can I specify a day or time for my delivery?
Yes you can. Simply select your preferred delivery date at checkout.
If your delivery needs to arrive on a certain date, we recommend placing your order as soon as possible to secure the delivery slot.
Certain products can only be delivered on specific days: the system will automatically work out the best delivery option for your order.
But if you are sending a parcel to a mainland UK address you can upgrade your delivery to before 12pm to ensure it is delivered on a certain day before midday.
What if I am out when you try to deliver?
If you miss a delivery attempt the courier will leave a card with instructions. If possible, arrange redelivery (either when you are at home or to a safe place) or collection.
How will I know how much I will be charged for delivery?
Delivery charges for your order will be shown once you have confirmed your delivery address details. You can view our UK delivery rates here. We work out the delivery charge based on two things.
The first is the weight of the parcel: if it is over 2kg (including packaging) it has to go via the Named Day Delivery Service (£7.95) as it is too heavy for the £4.95 service.
The second is shelf life. Because we use traditional recipes some of our treats need to be sent to you quickly so you can enjoy them at their best.
How do I find out customs charges when ordering online?
Customs charges are levied by local government rather than us, and they do vary significantly by country. If you order over the phone, we will let you know of any charges that might be applied. However, we are unable to do that when orders are placed online. Do check this page before ordering for overseas delivery. It covers a number of questions you may have.
Do your parcels show the price of items?
No, your delivery will not include the price of the items. The only billing information will be on the confirmation email you receive.
Do you deliver overseas?
We are able to send selected products overseas.
You can find details of countries we can ship to at the link here.
However, we’re sorry to say that we don’t expect to be in a position to deliver to Europe or Northern Ireland for the foreseeable future.
The rules for selling and shipping to the EU and Northern Ireland became a great deal more complicated with Brexit and the guidance for businesses like ours remains somewhat unclear.
We’re working hard to resolve it, and to be the first to hear when we do, sign up to our emails.
Please note: carriage prices vary for overseas deliveries and restrictions apply to some countries; for further information please contact our Customer Support Team.
