Bettys is famous for afternoon tea, and if you want to experience the finest we offer, book your table in the Imperial Room, Harrogate, or Belmont Room, York.
These beautiful, historic rooms - located on the first floor of our Harrogate and York tea rooms - are steeped in history and provide the perfect setting for our most exquisite afternoon tea.
You'll be serenaded by our pianist as you enjoy a lavish selection of dainty sandwiches, specially selected teas and irresistible miniature cakes and scones.
We are afraid it is not possible to order off the main Café menu when you come for our Bookable Afternoon Tea, as this is our luxurious afternoon tea experience.
Put aside any concerns you may have about not feeling full: we’ll happily bring another pot of tea and a few more sandwiches to make sure you leave feeling content.

Important booking information
Prices start from £49.95 per person. Please note, if this booking is for Afternoon Tea in our Imperial Suite, Harrogate, the Imperial Suite is on the second floor and unfortunately, we do not have lift access. If access is required, please contact our Customer Support Team on 0800 456 1919. Please note we are only able to provide information and guidance on the legal 14 allergens. We are unable to guarantee an absence of all other ingredients.
Important Dining Information
- We have a 15 minute grace period. Your table will be booked for 1 hour 30 minutes.
- Please call us if you are running later than 15 minutes after your booked time.
- We may contact you about this booking, so please ensure your email and phone number are up-to-date.
Cancellation Policy
Our booking system securely stores card details at the time of reservation; however, no deposit will be taken. We request that any cancellation be made no less than 24 hours prior to your booking time and date. In the event of a cancellation within this time frame, or following a no-show, we will charge £25 per person.
A note from the restaurant
Please advise if there are children in your party (we can prepare a children's afternoon tea for them) or you have any special dietary or allergen requirements (we serve vegetarian, vegan and non-gluten-containing options).
