The Halloween treat no celebration should be without, hand iced and hand piped at our Craft Bakery. A lot goes into a Bettys Fondant Fancy, ensuring that each part is just so. Perfectly tender, delicately sweet Genoese sponge, rich, creamy buttercream, proper marzipan that is soft and authentically almondy (no flavouring!), plus the semi-soft fondant icing that is so outrageously satisfying to eat. Add a layer of tart raspberry jam, and dip the base in white chocolate to keep it fresh (a deliciously artisan trick) and you have a perfectly formed moment of sweet delight, just waiting for you to put the kettle on. For Halloween, each Fondant Fancy is individually hand piped by our Craft Bakery team, transforming every cake into a playful mummy or skeleton character. From delicate icing bandages to characterful skeletal features, every detail is carefully added by hand, making each box a delicious showcase of the skill and craftsmanship behind every Bettys bake.
The word ‘craft’ gets used a lot these days, but at Bettys we really mean it.
