Lord Lieutenant presents Queen's Award to Bettys & Taylors

Bettys & Taylors Chair Lesley Wild, Mr Barry Dodd CBE, Taylors MD Andy Brown and Taylors Supply Director Keith Writer

Four years ago, Bettys & Taylors launched an approach to sourcing that would help us to become more sustainable in the face of ever-increasing challenges such as climate change and rural poverty. We've collaborated with suppliers to integrate community and environmental improvements in their work to make a continued difference to the quality of their tea and coffee, and to the lives of the people who grow it.

Mr Dodd, Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant said: "I was delighted to present the Award to this iconic family business whose values of integrity and honesty are demonstrated in their work to develop sustainable tea and coffee supply chains, whilst supporting those communities. The Company are synonymous with North Yorkshire and they act as tremendous international ambassadors for the county."

The celebrations were attended by Bettys & Taylors's Chair, Lesley Wild, Councillor Anne Jones, Mayor of Harrogate and Councillor Philip Broadbank, among other local dignitaries. It marked the third time that the business has won this award.
