A hearty dose of pure Yorkshire love, each and every one mixed, hand-decorated and baked by our Harrogate craft bakers.
What makes our lovely Rascals so much more decadent than a traditional scone, is the generous mix of demerara sugar and butter in the dough – and the fruity addition of currants and a little candied citrus. This rich, sweet dough magically caramelises in the oven, creating a crunchy, almost biscuit-like exterior and soft, buttery middle – heaven!
The famously cheeky face is always added by hand; two plump glacé cherries and an impish grin of whole almonds, which caramelise and roast in the oven to create deliciously squidgy and nutty bites.
The proper way to enjoy a Fat Rascal® is of course warm, buttered and with lashings of our refreshing Tea Room Blend Tea. They are packaged into a beautifully designed box and so make them a supremely good gift…for the committed Rascal fan, or the loved ones in your life who need to discover the Yorkshire Fat Rascal®.
