Bettys is famous for afternoon tea, and if you want to experience the finest we offer, book your table in the Imperial Room, Harrogate, or Belmont Room, York.
These beautiful, historic rooms - located on the first floor of our Harrogate and York tea rooms - are steeped in history and provide the perfect setting for our most exquisite afternoon tea.
You'll be serenaded by our pianist as you enjoy a lavish selection of dainty sandwiches, specially selected teas and irresistible miniature cakes and scones.
We are afraid it is not possible to order off the main Café menu when you come for our Bookable Afternoon Tea, as this is our luxurious afternoon tea experience.
Put aside any concerns you may have about not feeling full: we’ll happily bring another pot of tea and a few more sandwiches to make sure you leave feeling content.

Please note: we change our menu seasonally and can be subject to change. We are only able to provide information and guidance on the legal 14 allergens which include: gluten, milk, egg, soya, nuts, peanuts, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, celery, mustard, sesame, sulphites and lupin. We are unable to guarantee an absence of all other ingredients.'
You may notice an increase in the price of our Bookable Afternoon Tea. It's due to an increase in our costs, from raising staff wages to significant price increases across our supply chain. It's important to us that we can keep using the same trusted suppliers - many local to us - and maintain the high standards you expect of Bettys.
The maximum party size we can accept is 12 people (including children).
When booking please advise if:
- There are children in your party (we can prepare a children's afternoon tea for them)
- You have any special dietary requirements (we serve vegetarian, vegan and non gluten containing options)
- If you have access requirements, we're sorry to any customers with mobility issues, but we do not have lifts in either the Imperial Room, Harrogate, or Belmont Room, York.
