About Bettys Chocolate
With the finesse and passion instilled by our founder Frederick Belmont over 90 years ago, Bettys remains committed to hand-crafting the very finest chocolates.
For our Swiss chocolate ‘couverture’ we use the rare, Venezuelan ‘criollo’ bean, chosen for its rich, deep flavour. This Grand Cru Maracaibo couverture is then carefully tempered by our own chocolatiers at our Craft Bakery in Harrogate.
Chocolate moulds are hand-filled and hand-piped with freshly prepared praline, caramel, ganache and cream fillings. Once set, each chocolate is dipped or rolled and finished by hand with often intricate decorations.
Such is this labour of love that it might seem a shame to eat them… but we believe that good chocolate is made to be enjoyed!
