Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. THE PROMOTER The promoter is Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate Ltd (the “Promoter”), a company registered in England with registration number 00543821, whose trading address is Plumpton Park, Harrogate. HG2 7LD.
  2. THE COMPETITION The title of the competition is ‘Wimbledon Competition’.
  3. HOW TO ENTER

3.1 The competition will run from 15:00 on 28 June 2016 (the "Opening Date") to 23:59 on Sunday 10 July 2016 (the "Closing Date") inclusive (the "Competition Period"). Entries received outside of the Competition Period will automatically be disqualified.

3.2 The competition is free to enter.

3.3 To enter the competition you must find the four tennis balls hidden across the www.bettys.co.uk website and visit https://www.bettys.co.uk/summer/wimbledon to enter their locations (identified by product code) and your details.

3.4 By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3.5 The Promoter does not take any responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.

3.6 All correct entries will be identified using an automated process and three winners will be selected randomly from the correct entries by an independent person.

  1. ELIGIBILITY

4.1 The competition is open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except: (a) employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies; (b) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; and (c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.

4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.

4.3 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.

  1. THE PRIZE

5.1 The prize is a Fat Rascal Gift Selection (details of which are available on the www.bettys.co.uk website).

5.2 The prize is not negtiable and no cash alternative is available.

5.3 The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control make it necessary to do so.

  1. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT

6.1 The winners will be drawn at random from all correct entries on 11 July 2016, (the “Draw Date”) by an independent person.

6.2 Each winner will be sent their prize by post (to the address provided with their entry) within 7 days of the Draw Date.

6.3 The Promoter does not accept responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

6.4 The Promoter will send the name and county of the winner to anyone who writes within one month after the Closing Date of the competition requesting details of the winners and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in condition 1.

  1. DATA PROTECTION

7.1 If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name and county of residence to announce the winner of the competition.

7.2 Any personal data that you give us for the purposes of entering this competition will be used strictly in accordance with our privacy policy, which may be accessed via the www.bettys.co.uk website.

  1. GENERAL

8.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.

8.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

8.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
