Bettys Café Tea Rooms
As flowers cautiously unfurl and the sun threatens to become more than a half-remembered rumour, our inventive chefs have been busy cooking up new seasonal dishes to add to our Café Tea Rooms menus. Think of it as a kind of spring clean for your tastebuds, a fiesta of fresh ingredients to awaken the senses and drive away the last of the winter cobwebs.
Come closer. We want to tell you a secret. It’s called Bettys Stonegate and it’s our hidden gem. Locals know it well – it’s where they head to skip the queues. Step inside and step back in time – into the shop with its beautifully arrayed treats, then up the winding stairs to roaring fireplaces, window seats and intimate nooks. Romantic, cosy and unmistakably Bettys. Let’s just keep it between us, shall we?

It’s all in the anticipation. Noses pressed up against a Christmas window display. The aroma of freshly baked mince pies. Holding tightly onto one end of a cracker. Eyes widening at the rustle of wrapping paper. The excitement of the festive season starts long before the day itself. And with Bettys, you can make Christmas every bit as special as you and your loved ones imagine.
Spectacular and unique, these dainty Genoese sponge fancies are each hand-iced with a Catherine wheel or rocket design. They're one of several shop exclusives, which also include our legendary White Chocolate Ganache Ghosts and our spooky Ghost Biscuits.
The picturesque Bettys at RHS Gardens Harlow Carr has a touch of magic about it. Why? Because it changes with the seasons. Take a chair in the Café Tea Rooms or on the terrace, and look out over the majestic gardens - lovingly maintained by the RHS - where the rich, abundant flora celebrates the four seasons with stunning displays of colour. It's never more spectacular than during autumn, when a visit to Bettys with a friend is best followed by a stroll amongst the bright, uplifting fall trees.
