For a general overview before you buy, we hope the following information will prove useful.
Food Allergen Information
For information about ingredients, allergens, cooking instructions, storage and use of our products please check on the individual product pages under the ‘Ingredients / Allergens’ Tab.
At our Craft Bakery we use nuts in many products, so we can't guarantee that any are entirely nut-free. Though a particular item may not include nuts in the ingredients list, it may still contain traces.
We do not offer a range of ‘gluten free’ products as they are made in our Craft Bakery where wheat flour and gluten is used extensively.
We are able to offer dishes that are created without gluten containing ingredients, however there is a possibility that the ingredients could come into contact with small amounts of gluten or wheat either through our supplier or in our kitchens. Consequently, we cannot guarantee a total absence of wheat or gluten, but we let our customers choose, so that they can make the right decisions about the food they eat.
Please contact us for more details.
Café Tea Rooms – Menu for Gluten Intolerant Diets
We are pleased to offer you a selection of dishes which are created from ingredients which do not contain gluten. For more information, please view our Menu for Gluten Intolerant Diets.
Most of our products are suitable for vegetarians. Please contact us if you would like more information on specific products.
Generally speaking, most of our products are not suitable for vegans. This is because we like to make things in a way that's as close to tradition as possible, which of course means using butter, cream and other dairy ingredients.
Some of our products, including many of our luxury fruit cakes, our Champagne truffles, and our liqueur-based ganache chocolates, contain alcohol.
You may contact us for free with any queries or concerns on 0800 456 1919* (or +44 1423 814 008) or email Bettys Customer Services team – whether it’s to check ingredients or for recommendations for suitable gifts, we’ll be more than happy to help.
