Bettys Breakfast tea is a specially selected Tippy Assam from the Brahmaputra valley, in north-east India. It is picked during the Second Flush, from July to September, when the leaves are at their most tender. The high proportion of golden leaf tips is an indication of its exceptional quality. When brewed, it reveals all the classic Assam character: a strong, malty, full-bodied flavour, rich golden liquor and wonderful aroma. The bright, invigorating nature of this tea makes it perfect for serving at breakfast. The best place to keep your tea is in a traditional tea caddy. We have created these elegant black-and-gold tins, based on the antique tea tins we use in our Bettys Shops. Each label is illustrated with a teapot from our collection.
